Identification of Stability Regions in Inverter-Based Microgrids

A new method for the stability assessment of inverter-based microgrids is presented in this paper. Directly determining boundaries by searching multidimensional space inverters’ droop gains a computationally prohibitive task. Instead, we build certified region utilizing generalized Laplacian matrix eigenvalues, which are measure proximity to boundary. We establish an upper threshold eigenvalues that determines boundary entire system and demonstrate value depends only on network’s R/X ratio but does not depend grid topology. also provide conservative universal any systems within reasonable range ratios. then construct approximate certified regions representing convex sets could be utilized optimization. show how can maximized properly choosing gains, closed-form analytic expressions regions.
